Shekinah has some exciting news!
Endeavour House in Torquay has been awarded a transformative grant from The National Lottery Community Fund to support a long-overdue refurbishment of our cherished community hub.
The funding will enable a comprehensive upgrade of the building’s facilities – most notably, putting an end to the long-standing issue of the leaky roof. Thanks to the National Lottery, we can say goodbye to the buckets and the damp, and hello to a warm, dry, and welcoming space for everyone.
The refurbishment will also include structural repairs, energy-efficient improvements, and the creation of flexible spaces for Learning Exchange workshops, support groups, and events. These upgrades will ensure Endeavour House continues to serve as a vital lifeline for the community, especially for those seeking support and connection.
Work is expected to begin this summer, with community input playing a key role in shaping the final design.
A big, heart warming thank you to The National Lottery Community Fund from all of us at Shekinah!
