Plymouth Argyle striker Dario “Bim” Pepple has been making a meaningful impact off the pitch by volunteering at the Shekinah charity shop on Mutley Plain. The 22-year-old Canadian forward joined Argyle from Luton Town this summer and quickly sought out ways to give back to the local community.

After discovering Shekinah through an online search, Pepple began volunteering at their vibrant Mutley Plain store, which specializes in vintage and designer clothing, books, and bric-a-brac. His contributions included painting furniture and assisting with shop duties – quietly integrating himself into the team without initially disclosing his football career.

Andy Kebby, Shekinah’s employment and fundraising manager, praised Pepple’s initiative: “It came from him. His mum always encouraged volunteering, and he just got stuck in. It was only later that staff realized he played for Argyle.”

Pepple’s humility and hands-on approach have resonated with fans and staff alike, showcasing the power of athletes using their platform to support local causes. His work at Shekinah reflects the charity’s mission to empower individuals facing life’s toughest challenges through compassion, inclusion, and practical support.
