DESCRIPTION:Course description: Come along and read and look together at some of Dickens’s masterpieces. We’ll look at the author\, four of his works from the Victorian era and the times they were written in. If\, time\, we will see how TV and film portrays them.\nWeek 1 – The Pickwick Papers\nWeek 2 – The Old Curiosity Shop\nWeek 3 – A Tale of Two Cities\nWeek 4 – A Christmas Carol\n(There will be mince pies\, Scrooge!)\nAs Dickens said\, “There are books of which the backs and covers are by far the best part”.
