Come along and have a look at Shakespeare’s plays!

Comedies (e.g. A Midsummer Night’s Dream)
Tragedies (e.g. Hamlet; Othello)
Histories (e.g. Richard II; King John)

We will look at the plots, the characters, the backgrounds of the plays and read famous quotes
we all know (“Alas, poor Yorick!”, “A horse! a horse! my kingdom for a horse!”, “Romeo, Romeo…”).

We will watch how the plays have been portrayed in film and the theatre. Quizzes and games will be
included.
