Halloween and the History of Witches

This Halloween we will focus on a chilling part of our history – the witchcraft trials.

Sarah will give an overview of what is known about a period of time, when religion and gender were
central issues to brutal power plays.

We will also uncover the folkloristic meanings and rituals to mark the beginning of the ‘dark half of the
year’.
