In seafaring terms ‘swinging the lamp’ symbolises the sharing of stories under the glow of a ship’s lamp: tales of people and places that connect us to one another.

We are taking this tradition ashore and share stories of the sea to capture and preserve the experiences, memories, and traditions that tell the story of Plymouth Sound.
