Good News Story: Carl Secures Full‑Time Employment and a New Commute Solution
Carl has been working with Esme through our IPS employment support programme, where the focus is on personalised, one‑to‑one guidance to help people move closer to meaningful work.
After spending time getting to know Carl – his passions, interests, past experience and the kind of environment he thrives in, it became clear that he would excel in an outdoor, hands‑on role with plenty of customer interaction. Esme supported Carl to revise his CV and highlight his strengths, before reaching out to a local car wash owner to discuss potential opportunities.
The employer was keen to meet Carl, and after a successful interview and trial shift, we are delighted to share that Carl has now secured full‑time employment. He is absolutely thrilled and proud of what he has achieved.
To help Carl travel to and from work, Esme connected with Bike Space CIC, who kindly supported him with a bike for his daily commute. Esme delivered the bike to him and Carl couldn’t stop smiling. He shared how grateful he is for the support he has received while engaging with our service.
